Warriors Fans Gear Up For Hard Fought Battle for Playoff Run!!

Bay Area sports fans, families looking for fine food and entertainment, and out-of-town visiting tourists alike, hoping to get their sports fix, should pop on into Players Pier 39 to support our hometown Golden State Warriors, who are now back in the playoff picture. The 6th-seeded Warriors (led by NBA record-setting “Steph” Curry) will play the 3rd-seeded Denver Nuggets (starting Saturday in Denver). Great viewings can be had on our tableside TVs and in our waterfront sports grill.

Friday nights always have a good crowd with the return of our World Champion San Francisco Giants and their 6-game home stand starting Friday Night against San Diego and continuing Monday against Arizona. Fresh seafood, great burgers, specialty cocktails, non-alcoholic drinks, and bountiful sports programming and always available arcade action, make our friendly restaurant confines the perfect place to watch the game. With sixteen teams remaining in the NBA Playoffs, fans are gearing up for a great end to the regular season.

In the history of the NBA, no one has made more 3-point shots in one season than Golden State Warriors’ guard, Stephen Curry. A North Carolina-born basketball superstar and the son of former NBA player Dell Curry, “Steph” Curry was noticeably left off from the NBA All-Star Roster. Nevertheless, he has undeniably left his mark on the Warriors and the NBA as the Warriors head to the Playoffs.

Curry, combined with fellow backcourt shooting guard Klay Thompson, gained the most 3-pointers by a backcourt duo in a single NBA season.
Aside from the beautiful Bay views, why else should you visit Players at PIER 39? Check the schedule for the San Francisco Giants, who return home with 9 wins over 7 losses, for their 6-game home stand against division rivals San Diego and Arizona. The Giants hope to get back to their winning ways after dropping the last three road games.

And speaking about rivals, though the Giants love to battle the Dodgers, all sports fans and Americans should see the movie “42″, which is now in theaters world-wide. It is the story of American baseball pioneer and courageous legend, Jackie Robinson. Beyond baseball, this movie speaks to America about how things were in the late 1940s. Players SF supports all players like Jackie Robinson who dare to be great and make a difference.

And, how about SOCCER?  PLAYERS is THE destination to watch international soccer super stars battle it out on the pitches over the pond. Tuesday and Wednesday bring some supreme soccer match-ups with Bayern Munich versus Barcelona (Tuesday) and Real Madrid versus Borussia (Wednesday). Players is the international sports bar scene for San Francisco, and soccer (along with basketball and baseball) are the predominant global sports that are typically featured on our screens.

RECAP – Golden State Warriors Basketball – NBA Playoff Bound, San Francisco Giants (the defending World Series Champions)… Be American. Be a Player. Support our Players Bay view San Francisco.

Believe it or not, the Bay Area is the place to visit anytime because all of their sports teams are
